Resources The following resources shall be required for the lesson: 1. Computer and projector 2. Power-point presentation and memory stick 3. The film: Stand By Me 4. 2 lesson plan proformas per student 5. Whiteboard pens 6. Flip paper
| Homework Write a brief plot summary of the film. |
Hook & Do Now Check the homework of the previous class. |

Input We are discussing the characters of the film with the intention to bring to the students` attention the importance of interacting with others. |

Guided Practice #1 The teacher is to guide the students in discussing the key points about the film. |

Guided Practice #2 We are identifying the storyline and how each character is related to the next character. |
Closure The class discussion ends with a preview of the day`s lesson and a recap of all films. |
LESSON EVALUATION
Learning: Did the students meet the learning outcomes? If yes, how do you know? If no, why not? Yes, the students met the learning outcomes because they could communicate well with each other while discussing the film. |
Evaluation: What parts of the lesson went well? Why? What parts of the lesson were unsuccessful? Why? The whole discussion went well. There were no rising issues as all the students participated. |
Students: What follow up is required with individual students? One of the students (Jayson) asked more about how to write the plot. |
Future Direction: Based on the above points, what are the plans for the next lesson? We shall learn how to write a brief plot summary of the film. |
