Maggie, Oroonoko and Frankenstein Comparisons to main characters in movies
Frankenstein is a story about what happens when a person or individual decided to play God since his deeds always lead to his downfall. Victor was a guy who studied modern science until he created a monster. Unfortunately, the monster killed the youngest brother, best friend, wife, and father. That created remorse, shame, and guilt. Using Frozen 1 to elaborate this further, Elsa is born with magic powers but unfortunately while playing with her sister Anna she strikes her with ice and since then she hides her powers and fears from her whole society. The burden is too large to carry and she is so scared of everything she does. Thou is born with magic unlike Frankenstein who created a monster, the difference was that one was an inner monster and the other was the outer monster. Elsa’s inner monster froze the whole region including her sister’s heart and she was also filled with guilt. Luckily she also found a solution to her great monster.
Oroonoko is an African prince who is the main character in…., He mainly has all the qualities that a prince has. Starting from the good looks to his good education system. Throughout the whole story, he maintains his dignity, and till his death and shows no signs of agitation. Using Elsa, a character in Frozen 2, who is the queen of the land and who goes beyond the horizon just to make sure that the dark side and the light side become friends. She goes beyond the place that she was warned just to make sure she restores peace. Unfortunately, she dies from freezing. Her sister Anna breaks the bridge and their small home of Arundel is almost covered by water when she comes back and saves everyone from the destruction that the broken bridge would have caused after breaking. Oroonoko and Elsa are leaders who have the leadership qualities and even till death dies with dignity.
Maggie is born and raised in a place of poverty, deprivation, and child abuse. Homeless, jobless, friends, Maggie survives as a prostitute till her death. Using the character Carrie Hopewell in the series Banshee, she grows up engaged in doing criminal activities. The place of growth determines the life of the person that’s why even in a marriage that later breaks off she still goes on getting engaged in doing those criminal activities. From the beginning of the movie, Carrie being raised by a criminal father gets married being pregnant with a criminal boyfriend and even the daughter Denver also gets the same character. It was how the growth of Carrie and Maggie that determined how they would grow and end up being.
In Maggie and Carrie’s story, Carrie’s way of getting raised determined and dictated her life and her future. In Oroonoko and Elsa, leaders who are born and meant to serve the society do it to their last breath and do it with due diligence and also with dignity and pride. They commit themselves with their work from the beginning to their death. In Frankenstein’s story, monsters’ whether seen or unseen can be controlled and also created by us. Victor’s outer monster destroyed him and his whole life while Elsa’s inner monster also did the same. The difference came in since finally Elsa found a solution for the inner monster and controlled it while Victor is controlled his monster.
