Institutions make different approaches in making the work more meaningful to the nursing staff in various medical facilities, both private and public (Cline, 2018). Moreover, incorporating of the lower healthcare provider in the field of nursing like a Registered Nurse (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) would further make the nursing job more significant in the healthcare system (Cline, 2018). As a result, the healthcare industry requires more LPN’s and RN’s to accommodate nurses from a different level, which facilitates collaboration to provide high-quality care.
The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) exits as a profound valuables utility and asset in the healthcare system, which possesses a high level of knowledge, skills, and expertise. On the same note, DNP plays a crucial role in both community-based health programs and clinical setup due to high qualification. According to Chism (2017), DNP-prepared public health nurses take a critical part in the multifaceted nursing profession in working in public health systems in which they promote, protect and prevent infections in communities across the United States. As per Chism (2017), DNP possess some of the leadership qualities such as assessments of public health, policy development, and assurance that enable them to contribute to the public health programs profoundly. In the United States, DNP persists as fundamental assets in the healthcare industry since they implement, pilot, and plan the public health initiatives at federal or state levels (Chism, 2017). Equally, DNP nurses have the ability to handles various healthcare issues such as chronic disorders, immunization, home-based care, environmental health, as well as maternal and child health (Chism, 2017). No, the DNP degree builds on the traditional master’s programs, which offers systems leadership, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement hence different from Doctor of Philosophy.
