Memoir
One of my dreams was always to visit Africa. Africa is famous for its excellent climate and beaches. I always dreamt of visiting the Egyptian pyramids. I wanted to learn the culture behind the pyramids. So, a few weeks ago, my dream was fulfilled. I got a chance to visit the great pyramids. First, I was nervous because I could not believe I had set my foot on one of the countries that had been considered rich during the time the pyramids were being built. I noticed that people were not allowed to climb the pyramid. This is because it was a treasure. One of the most outstanding things about the pyramid is the accuracy in which it was built. The edge of the pyramids was very straight. I also discovered that the pyramids were regarded as a special place for burying Egyptian kings. The Egyptians valued their kings, and they held a significant place in society. They were considered to be the intermediary between humans and the divine. This is the reason they always wanted the spirit to remain the pyramids.
The pyramids were believed to have been built by the foreigners who were slaves in Egypt. This took part hundred of years ago. I also discovered that many tourists around the world travel to go and find out these wonders. Egypt was a fun place since people are welcoming. During my stay, I was able to interact with the locals. They taught me a few Arabic words. What shook me is how they still valued their culture even with the impact technology has. They say that a culture is part and parcel of Egyptians.
