Mexican Immigration to U.S. A
Different people migrate for different reasons giving us different types of immigrants. Migration from Mexico to the United States of America involves Mexicans moving from Mexico to the southern states of America, which border Mexico. Mexicans immigrate for different reasons giving us different types of immigrants to the United States of America.
The first type of immigrants from Mexico to the United States of America is those seeking protection and security. Between 1910-1920 many Mexican immigrated to the United States of America due to war(Perez,2017). Most of them were war refugees and political exiles. In Mexico, by then, the levels of crimes were really high, so many Mexicans were moving to the U.S.A where they will have a peaceful life.
The other type is laborers. Most of them are males who go to seek employment and be able to send money back to their families in Mexico. Some of the usually migrate as a family looking for a good quality of life in the United States of America. In the 1890s, new industries of mining and agriculture led to many Mexicans migrating to the united states of America as laborers.
Recently, Mexicans have migrated from a different perspective. Before, they comprised of low skilled people, but in recent days, they are mostly undergraduates. Either they are seeking employment in their field of study, or they are there to advance in their studies. They work in offices instead of farms. Those in the farms are less since Mexico is developing.
In conclusion, the rate of migration from Mexico to the U.S.A is lower than before. Most Mexicans are back to Mexico, and those going to U.S.A are those advancing themselves career-wise. Jobs have become easier to find in Mexico, too, and the security is stable too.
