Monitoring is the systematic process of collecting, analyzing, and using it to track a program’s process towards reaching its objectives and to guide management decisions. Tracking in an organization is an essential thing as different risks are easily obtained and are therefore restricted. Risk assessments are usually recorded in the awareness of the employees of the given organization. The organization should be able to ensure that the security monitoring that has been implemented should be reliable and correct under the circumstances of botch in the pathway of event generation. The security logs should be retained in a manner such that it is compliant with the law and the security policy.
Legal implications are the results or consequences involved in something according to the law. The organization should be able to explain to their employees why it is essential for them to set up a security policy. This is done to avoid the employees’ scenarios getting to feel that their privacy is not being taken into consideration. Once the organization has set up security policies, new security threats usually pop up. This makes it hard for the security policy to become updated as keeping staffers away from any changes in their day-to-day is a hard task.
Various practices are recommended in enforcing security policies in an organization. First, the organization should be able to identify its risks in its day-to-day working through monitoring or reporting tools. The organization should also learn from other organizations’ security policies to get sharpened a little bit. The organization should also include the staff in policy development for appropriate use. The organization should also be able to train its employees on understanding the policies, and it should also allow it to discuss the practical, real-world implication of the systems. Monitoring can be effective and enhanced that can be used and made to benefits.
