MRW: Module D – Essay (6 pm-8 pm)

Have you tasted one of the delicious dishes ever? I bet not. If you haven’t tasted Kabsa, then I think you are yet to eat one of the sweetest dishes ever in the world. Kabsa is the dish, and its one of the favorite meal among the people of Saudi Arabia, and it also happens to be my favorite dish. The name of this dish comes from the Arabic word kabasa, which means to squeeze. The dish was given this name because, in its preparation, the ingredients are normally squeezed into the cooking pot.

Kabsa is made with meat and rice.  The main ingredients used in preparing this meal include; Basmati rice, chicken, a mixture of spices, and vegetables. The special spices of Kabsa taste delicious and smell great.  No one would resist this dish.  Anytime I visit Saudi Arabia, I will always settle on Kabsa. I can imagine how sweet the dish will be, bearing in mind that my mother is more of a chef when it comes to preparing the dish. I can picture my self sitting on a big chair, my mother serving the dish on our round plastic table.

The Indian spices used in preparing the dish makes it to have a unique taste compared to other dishes. The colorful and healthy vegetables used in preparing the meal give the dish a beautiful shape. The shape alone can make you want more and more.

Defining the feeling of tasty and delicious is easier after eating this meal. Generally, the basic ingredients used in preparing this are flavored and tasty to increase appetite. I am sure my mother while making the meal, she will use spices such as garlic, onion, cumin, and pepper, cloves, cardamom, saffron, and cinnamon. These spices are always fresh, making the dish to have a unique taste. When cooking it, the smell of the spices makes the dish to have an amazing flavor and smells delicious while simmering. Finally, Saudi people enjoy eating Kabsa by their hands, because touching the food gives them feelings of more satisfied. Saudi Arabia being my country, I will also use my hands while eating the dish.

In conclusion, I would like to like to request my friends to try Kabsa. It is a Saudi Arabian traditional meal and best dish ever. The dish always smells great and delicious. The dish is flavorful with all spices in it, making it to be colorful, tasty, unique aroma, and the fact that it is eaten using hands; it gives a more satisfying feeling. You happen to taste it kabsa am sure you will never like to miss it because it is one to be the best dish ever. I challenge all to try it then share their experiences. Kabsa will always remain to be a favorite dish ever existing in this world.
