Music of China
Module 6 is a very informative piece that enables the viewer to understand more about Chinese music. This module focuses on China’s musical style and how music has evolved over the years. The module offers insights into where the music of China gets its inspiration. The video explains China’s history, how China was ruled, and significant events that marked a milestone in China. The module also explains how music has evolved in China due to civilization. This module describes how civilization has influenced the kind of music adored in China. For instance, civilization has led Chinese pop music, a fusion of Chinese music and pop music from Western culture. This chapter enables me as a lover of music to appreciate creativity in music and learn that different countries differ in their music appreciation.
Question 2: Music of South Asia – India.
Module 7 also offers a lot of insights into the music industry that applies to China and the rest of the world. I have heard Indian music in different movies, but I had never paid much attention to its origin. It is interesting to learn that Indian music is so popular, unlike other Asian music. It is also interesting to learn that Indian music has gained popularity by incorporating other countries’ music styles and incorporating music in Bollywood movies that have gained more popularity in recent years.
Question3: Music of Southeast Asia – Indonesia.
This module is mind-blowing with its richness of information about music in Indonesia. The module looks into the history, culture, and social life in Indonesia. It explains why they have their specific types of music that still holds even with civilization’s influences. It is intriguing to learn that some countries, Indonesia, in this case, still hold on to their traditions despite the significant influence that civilization has impacted on various countries.
