Nutrition as A Health Medicine

Introduction

I have a passion for becoming a Nutritionist Biologist. This will allow me to help those who have feeding problems in society. It is very fulfilling and makes me happy to help people in the community, especially while using natural means. Many people undergo a lot of stress simply because they miss essential meals like breakfast, lunch or even supper. Such meals are essential in an individual’s life and should not be taken for granted. Many people are recently having health complications not because they are sick, but because they do not take their nutrition seriously. People do not pay attention to what they eat or even how they eat. As a result, they tend to become overweight or underweight, and as a result, people develop complications like obesity. The best way to maintain good health is through observation of nutritional laws. It is the best way people can maintain good health and a good life.

Nutritional laws also include a natural way to reduce weight. People have replaced the natural, nutritious diet with junks. Junks make people gain a lot of weight and then decide to look for artificial ways, including the use of slimming diets to reduce their weight. However, such artificial means are only worsening the health conditions of people. There is only one way that people can eat the right foods, stay healthy and at the same time have a good weight. The only way is only to observe nutritional values. Nutrition comes with good health. Nutrition people get in eating healthy foods helps in fighting diseases as well.

Summary

Nutrition is defined as the process of providing the body with the necessary nutrients for the attainment of good health and body growth. It focuses mainly on how people use dietary choices to reduce risks of getting diseases, what happens to the human body if there are too much or too little nutrients, and how a person can gain good health. Nutrition is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. What people put in their plates matters a lot when it comes to their physical health. Proper diet, when combined with physical activities, helps in the attainment of a healthy weight, reduction of chronic diseases risks like heart and cancer diseases, as well as promoting individual general health.

Research has shown how unhealthy eating habits have led to an increased number of obesity cases, especially in the United States. About 34& of US adults and 17% of children and adolescence are obese. This rate is alarming in the society that we live in today. Even people who claim to have suitable weight are always at risk of contracting illnesses and even death when they undertake a poor diet. Poor diet leads to diseases such as hypertension, osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, and other chronic diseases like cancer. Having a healthy meal helps in the prevention of such conditions.

Nutrition does include not only human nourishment but also immune defenses of our systems. Proper nutrition means that the human body gets all the required nutrients, minerals, and vitamins that it needs to so that it can be in the best position to work best. People should plan their meals well enough to ensure that all the nutrients are present in the diets. People should have a meal plan. Different eating patterns are normally used. Most of them are successful. However, not all the patterns work best for all people. Individuals should try the available patterns until one finds the most suitable one that works best for him/her. In choosing an eating pattern, one should choose a pattern that will be a lifelong change instead of a crash diet that would only work for several months and will not be sustainable.

Health is very important. Some of the chronic diseases like cancer are hard to manage and, in most cases, leads to death. “Prevention is better than cure,” that is what is usually said, and it is true. If only we can be able to come up with an excellent healthy pattern, then most of the diseases and health conditions can be prevented. For instance, gaining weight, many people have replaced healthy foods with junks, and so they are gaining a lot of weight. Then they spend most of their time taking other things that are not recommended health-wise. This does more harm to the body rather than just helping in weight reduction.

Conclusion

The relationship between good nutrition, reduction of chronic diseases, and healthy weight is too important to be overlooked. Every individual should take positive steps towards attaining nutritional diets and laws so that they can have a healthy lifestyle. Our bodies need to stay strong, healthy, and active. This can only be achieved by practicing physical activities and having a proper recommended diet. Making small changes in our daily diet goes a long way as it is easier and essential as well. Proper nutrition leads to a healthy body and the prevention of many diseases.
