Some sites contain information on the recommended servings of ice cream and pasta. I have come across many sites recommending different servings, but I came across one that is efficient. It is known as thekitchn.com. Thekitchen.com explains how you make certain foods, recipes, and ingredients included to ensure you have a balanced and nutritious diet meal. For example, when making pasta, one ounce of dry pasta is equivalent to one and a half cup of cooked pasta (Prakash, 2011).  The recommended portion that is common for most servings is two ounces. Therefore, one should double the recommended amount, and if the servings should be more, one should continue doubling.

It is always advisable to follow the numbers that are recommended on most nutritional labels since companies want their consumers to have something that is healthy. Sometimes the amount to be consumed depends on the shape of the food. Recommended portions on the labels and the portions consumed differ according to the form of the product.  Most beverage companies have made changes to their labels even though the changes will not be required for a couple of years (Collins, Bucher, Taylor, et al., 2015). The changes will make it easier for consumers to have better-informed food decisions. Beverage manufacturers always want to ensure that their servings labels are not confusing, making it easy for the consumer to understand the right serving he or she should have.

Beverage manufacturers took it to their selves to change labels according to the nutrition board (Pomeranz, 2011). The Nutrition board advised that consumers should always consume portions of products as labeled on the product. This helps avoid mistakes of consuming excess quantities than required for the body since a human body has specific amounts recommended to maintain a healthy condition.
