Watson’s nursing theory is related to how nurses show care to their patients. This theory strains a humanistic way of nursing as they connect to scientific understanding and nursing activity. Her theory states that “nursing is concerned with promoting health, preventing illness, caring for the sick, and restoring health.” (Ponstein, 2012). It emphasizes on health evaluation and curing diseases. According to her, caring is key to nursing exercise and stimulates health more than a simple medical cure.
