In cases where one becomes an employer of choice, many candidates are very willing to work in the company. As the manager of a company, one must stick to their company rather than moving to other companies. Unemployment rates in the world are increasing by the days hence bringing the need to become the employer of choice. Organizations should adopt some activities that can help them become employers of choice (Saini & Jawahar 2019). Some of these activities are such as; social responsibility, which can be achieved by giving back to the society, which makes the employees feel as if they are also giving back to the company, thus impacting a definite meaning to the nation. Some ways in which organizations can engage in giving back to the community are such as holding a food supply drive and also participating in national charity activities. Another way of helping an organization in becoming the employer of choice is advancing careers by giving the employee’s promotion opportunities, having a career ladder that offers the workers the idea of what to work towards. Finally, the organization should provide training to ensure that there are learning and growth. An organization should recognize the employees’ efforts, which enhance their efforts. Finally, organizations should compensate their employees and also having employee benefits, which include health insurance, vacations, and paid holidays. It is hard to be an employer of choice, but putting spare time and effort will help a long way.

Employees’ attitudes have a significant impact on customers. Thus when employees are happy, they will spread their enthusiasm to their customers, and they can also provide satisfying services to the customers. Employee engagement will lead to customer satisfaction, while failure to engage the employees affects customer satisfaction. Organizations should enhance the comfort of their employees to improve customer satisfaction. Six degrees of separation can be applied by organizations to increase the number of their customers (Gale 2018). Each employee has their circle of friends, which may add up to a hundred, which means each of the employees is capable of attracting a hundred customers into the business, which brings about the importance of good employee relations.

Employees may fail to deliver as expected due to unhealthy working conditions such as bullying and harassment. This is evident where people work unreasonably towards the employees in situations such as excluding an employee in the work-related events, aggressive behaviors, and also teasing (Lyons 2019). In case an employee is harassed in their place of work, they are supposed to report such instances to their supervisors, representatives of health, or even the managers. An organization must appoint good leaders for their organizations. Leaders who rarely listen to the employees are not suitable for an organization. Employee turnover is also a sign of a bad leader. Leaders without a vision are also unhealthy for an organization, leaders are also required to have high expectations, and when it is not evident, they lack the qualities of good leaders. Leaders who prefer particular employees over others may favor some people, which is not healthy for the organization. A bully for a leader in the worst leader a company can have, which makes other employees fail to deliver.

Organizations must update their human resource policies, which will help in capturing the changes in the company; this will also help the employees obtain the organization’s legal reforms. Updating human resource policies also helps in ensuring the employees have a better understanding of the companies polices. Due to these reasons, a company must update its human resource policies. Such issues can be bulletproofed in ways such as decision-maker identification, agreeing on roles and responsibilities of each person, selecting the best job providers, enhance continuous communication, and learning from other people’s mistakes to avoid a reputation of the same mistakes.
