Therefore, society implies that communication influences some behaviors in employees that are crucial for performance. Some of the behaviors influenced by communication include augmented engagement, motivation, satisfaction, improved relations, reduced turnover, high level of commitment, loyalty to the organization, and increased confidence in executing the work due to higher self-esteem. Employees who possess these behaviors show a higher level of productivity.  On the flipside, ineffective communication in the workplace results in a lack of commitment and poor relationship with the leaders, negatively impacting employee productivity.
