Dr. Shelley Sharma question three. Dr. Sharma, you are a pain management specialist.

that has a unique approach to the treatment of chronic pain which includes medication management and interventional therapies, etc. as a patient looking for a doctor, why would I want to choose you as my pain management specialists?

So that’s a good question.

I think our approach, I think my approach is a little bit different than most other pain management doctors.
Unknown Speaker 0:40
Instead of just being focused on specific pain complaints, my goal is to kind of look at the overall patient.

Get a good understanding of the patient, their pain issues, and how it’s affecting their life and their ability to function. And the goal for treatment is not just as injected

Patient given some medications and send them home, it’s more to create a comprehensive plan that can allow you to function better in life. While there’s no cure for chronic pain, as much as we healthcare is, the goal is to get your pain down to a level that it’s that allows you to be functional. That means getting patients involved with physical therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic treatment, maximizing more of those conservative modalities. And then as well as adding interventional procedures, if needed, maybe some medication management if needed. And going forward with a treatment plan that’s more comprehensive addressing not only the issues in terms of pain, but also patient functionality and getting them back to functioning as-as they were before their pain issues.

The other thing is, I also tried to think a little bit outside the box

in terms of treatment, so if patients are not

While with planning or plan B, Michaels comes up with a plan C, D, and E, what are they are so the outfits are

Always give a patient more options. So we start to exhaust some of our options. My biggest goal is natural, like a patient lose hope. And I think that one of the essential things is to maintain a patient who is dealing with chronic pain conditions. It can be very depressing to deal with this on your own. And it can be regrettable to realize that because of the first intervention, the first treatment plan is not working. So my goal is to give different options exhaust all possibilities constantly.
