PART 1: Walmart
WalMart: review the financial statements over the last three years (2015, 2016, and 2017), and discuss any positive and negative trends would you report to the company’s management.
I think most of the info can be found on the 2015 Annual Report attached. However, if it’s not there, data from reliable sites such as SEC, Bloomberg, or yahoo finance etc are accepted.
Discuss trends, use ratios to show change:
What happened to Revenues from 2013, 2014, and 2015?
…Dividends?
Discuss Profitability (ie: “making money”): net profit
Discuss Liquidity (ie: “current assets”):
Solvency (is liabilities minus assets; use ratios)
A few ratios to use are the Quick ratio (acid test), current ratio, and working capital ratio
Please show calculations and not just results, Thanks!
This is an excellent site for quick, correct calculations however, the calculations must still be written out, not just the results:

For example, this is from a word problem I did earlier.
- If we want to accumulate $500,000 in 20 years at 15% interest, we will need to deposit $30,550.14 We used the present value to calculate this:
$30,550.14 = $500,000 / (1 + .15)
