Patriot’s View in the American Revolution
American Revolution
The American Revolution was a revolt from the American patriots who felt engraved by the high taxes levied on them from the British colonists (Mays, 2019). As a revolutionist, I firmly believe the revolution against the colonists is justified, and more should be done. It isn’t very easy to live with the conditions of this Britons. They have come to loot everything from our dear country. Imagine, we are being forced to pay taxes to a government that none of us is part of. Our people are forced to work under no pay. We cannot walk freely within the streets of American. Moreover, the prices of tea have gone down, and hence the living standards will drop. We cannot be working without seeing the fruits of our labor (Stark, 2001).
I believe in justice. The human race is one, and nobody is special, and therefore, this kind of dictatorial government has to stop. We need to live up and fight against this anarchy where some people receive preferential treatment. If we cannot act today, our children and the children of our children will have to go through the same fate (Mays, 2019). I stand for a better America where segregation, prejudice, and discrimination be it of color, the class won’t exist. Watch our brothers from the south; our farmers and traders and shop owners cannot access the equity in service delivery. The British government has made us slaves of our own (Stark, 2001). We have nothing better left on us than to act and get back the freedom we deserve. For years we have lived with no hatred for one another, but since the arrival of these colonists, our harmony, love, and peace has scattered with nothing left to be proud of.
I believe a revolution is paramount, and we need to reorganize ourselves as people with unity and purpose. As your leader, I stand to be corrected if my ideas are biased, but I believe I have the heart of an American Citizen. As a patriot, I cannot watch our dear beloved country shattered but, we have to fight to get the big enemy out of our country.
