Pedagogy
I have experienced different situations that I felt were socially unjust. Their two situations that I feel were the most intolerable. The first situation was when my friend was being bullied because of his size. He was somehow obese, and people my classmates made fun of him. One day while walking home, my classmates started throwing insults to him (Garber, 2017). My friend looked very upset and was helpless since the students who insulted him were in a group. I felt pain for such bullying since each person has his or her flows.
The second situation was when the police discriminated my friend due to his skin colour. My friend had no time to explain himself; instead, he was arrested, and the police framed him to have marijuana (Garber, 2017). Such injustices made me feel that we need a law that could help reduce the social injustices.
The situation in which I heard to speak up was the first situation because the people who were discriminating my friend were my school mate. I heard to protect my friend and also teach my school mate on the importance of being a brother’s keeper. It was not easy since the damage had already been done, and it was time to comfort my friend (Garber, 2017). The situation I did not speak was the second situation since it was a case that the authorities were handling and if I could speak, maybe I could be branded as an accomplice. Though other times it’s better to keep quiet and wait for justice to take its cause. Their situations that you just feel that you should stand for the right thing.
