Personal philosophies are the values and beliefs that we live in our daily lives. These theories and philosophies guide and give us directions to align our thoughts and actions, which will lead us to a path of success in the nursing field (Kim 2015). Understanding your philosophy is vital since it will help articulate your principles and the skills that will assist you on how to live with them and thus, successfully achieving the goals laid out.

Nursing theory and philosophies evolution has facilitated the development of nursing practice in both nursing disciplines and professions. The nursing theory promotes an ultimate understanding in the nursing field since its critically used in decision making to encourage patient’s safety under treatment. The nursing philosophies and methods are two interchangeable things since the view describes who the nurse is and the beliefs they hold in the field. The nursing theory describes what the nurses do and the models they use in their patients to produce treatment and good health. Nursing theory purposely used to encourage and increase the outcome in the nursing field. The method improves communication with the health providers and the patients, which successfully assists in achieving the health outcome’s goals. Nursing theories are essential in the implementation of effective decisions since the communication laid out provides reliable and useful information in nursing. Thus, these theories offer and evaluate the quality of nursing care in the health sectors.

As I registered to be a nurse, I evaluated nursing philosophy, which will guide throughout my career field as a nurse. Nursing is a profession, and one should focus on achieving the reward as a professional nurse. I should make it professionally. The profession’s way is to commit me to deliver excellent patient care and ensuring that the patient’s best interest well-upheld nursing philosophy as a way of promoting better communication. I should be ready to learn and improve in my weakest areas so I can provide a smooth road for the patient’s recovery. My philosophy of nursing based on military experience (Zägenhagen 2016). We faced many challenges in the military to protect the ones who cannot defend themselves from any harm, and many people were injured. It was up to us to look at one another even though with no experience. I was motivated and driven to undergo a nursing career to be a professional nurse who will promote a better healthcare service to the patients. I gained the commitment of helping the injured, and that is how I hold my values and beliefs to becoming a nurse.

The nursing theory of interpersonal relationships between the nurses and the patients aligns with my philosophy. The interpersonal relationship between nurses and patients effectively achieved through their communication level, and this helps the nurses deliver the best health outcomes effectively. The interaction between nurses and patients sharing their thoughts and feelings plays a central part in the nursing process. I agree with this theory since nurses need to provide quality healthcare and implement adequate interventions for their patients’ health; this based on the trust they have for one another. That’s why their relationship regarded as vital in the nursing process. The theorist theory of interpersonal relationships also played a significant role in my philosophy. Since there was a clear interaction with the patients, I was taking care of for the best health deliveries (Deane & Fain 2016).

Whether in the nursing field or any other discipline field, theories may face some barriers in the application. It might seem Bto the practitioners and the professional, although it still provides an opportunity to maintain goals; thus, striving in the achievements of these set goals and objectives. The interpersonal theory in nursing practice might be a poor fit in the area where nurses are to relate with patients who cannot communicate. Communication is an essential intervention tool in this theory; thus, applying it may be challenging to the nurses hence making it difficult to deliver health outcomes as expected successfully. Trying to impose this theory in a situation like this may be relatively challenging for nurses.
In conclusion, nursing theories are creative, and providing ideal ideas in the nursing field is an essential aspect. Thus, the obstacles facing the application of the nursing theory should be recognized and understand that there should be a need to keep the methods updated to maintain a track of what the practitioners are doing in hospitals and clinics. Understanding the personal philosophy and gaining more experience in nursing are the best nursing practices that will help deliver the best health outcomes in nursing.
