Personal Writing Experience
My writing experiences as a child and as a young adult were quite different. As a child, I used to love writing even though I struggled to get my grammar and spelling right. It was fun because it was all about my imagination and, at some point, what happened in the real world. As I grew up, I fell out of love for writing because it simply stopped being fun. Most of the writing I have done as a young adult has always been about academics, especially in high school, since the focus was more on grammar. Even though writing is not my cup of tea, it has been instrumental and applicable in my life, especially when it comes to academics and personal life.
In academics, it has helped in expressing my thoughts and arguments on different subjects of study assigned to me by my instructors in an easily comprehendible way. In the personal aspect, I have been a journal lover since I was a child. I keep a personal journal where I write about my life experiences, dreams and hopes. I have not yet been able to write professionally, but I hope to apply my writing skills when the time comes. My experience is not very different from my peers since we all went through the same path. Most peers loved writing in their early years but later fell out of love for writing because as the years progressed, writing became more demanding since grammar was the main focus. We all use writing in our academics and personal lives, but most of us have not yet had the chance to use our writing skills professionally.
