Planning in health care
Planning is one of the most important aspects of any organization. This is based on the fact that this event ensures that there is appropriate allocation of resources. One of the critical areas or organizations where effective allocation of resources is important is in health care. The latter state entity is what enhances the overall well being of individuals for them to be able to productively contribute to society. Therefore, to maximize overall welfare, there is a need to carry out adequate planning in health care and this is by allocating the available scarce resources in various key priority areas (Buchbinder, & Shanks, 2007).
Just like any other organization, health care entities also have mission-critical facets within them. One of the mission-critical components in health care is primary care provision. The latter deals with disease prevention and cure. Without such a section of health care in place, there would be an increment in disease burden in society. This is to say that there will be an increased number of unhealthy people. Therefore, to curb this scenario, there is a need to ensure that there is adequate allocation of resources.
The loss of a system of preventive health care will take a toll on the allocated health care budget. This is because it is through the effective management of primary care that the allocated funds may be adequate for use. When a bigger portion of the budget is used to suppress the adverse events that may have occurred in the primary care system, which could have been prevented, then it means that there will be a strain on resources, and this may affect other aspects of care.
