The poem ‘I wandered lonely as a cloud (1815)’ by William Wordsworth portrays different elements of art. The reason is that it changes the perception of individuals in that they can appreciate nature and all it has to offer. The poet describes a scenario whereby the party in the poem takes pleasure in the beauty of nature by expressing their joy once they looked at the daffodils. The poem is good since it also brings out the elevation of natural elements and also enhances eternity and sublimity of nature.

The poem mainly speaks about the appearance of the daffodils along the lakeside. Hence, the theme of the poem is nature and its objects. The poet employs different elements that develop the art in the poem. The poem reflects a time when the party in the poem went near a lake near which there were lots of daffodils. The poem employs rhyme, rhythm, imagery, narration, and sound in the course of the poem. For instance, the first four lines of the poem demonstrate some rhyme in the choice of the last word of each line. Rhyme has also been used in lines seventeen and eighteen. Use of rhyme develops the rhythmic element of the poem, which makes this poem an art.

The poem is developed as a narrative whereby the poet narrates how the persona went by the lakeside. Here, the persona was able to see different daffodils. The beauty of nature at that place gave him pleasure and was able to derive happiness from it. The poet uses the imagery in creating a clearer picture of what nature by the lakeside was like. For example, the poet describes how the daffodils looked like in lines four to ten. From the description, the reader of the poem can develop an image of daffodils grown along the lakeside under the trees. They flutter and dance along with the breeze at the bay. The daffodils are stretched along the margin of the bay. The element further makes this poem a good representation of art.
