Policy Making
Policymaking refers to the process of establishing a system based on principles to make decisions and to aid in achieving rational outcomes (Risley, 2015). The policymaking process is adopted by organizations to achieve the required result in their daily operations. Policymaking simulation is an imitation of the policymaking process, and it helps activities that aid in organizations’ operations. Simulations in policymaking are helpful since they are the simplified expressions of the complex systems and aid in decision making and also in making predictions.
IT has been an essential aspect of modeling behavior for policymaking. The rapid increment in computing power has made it possible to develop new computational models that can represent an extensive system (Riccucci, 2018). Once large systems are ready to be represented, it is therefore easy for organizations to make decisions from the data presented to them in a simplified form. It is also a decision-making tool that aids in comprehending complicated options. It comes in by helping in comprehending the behavior of the systems and how they behave based on the circumstances present.
Secondly, IT helps in the permission of system analysis that is very complex and cannot be done through analytical models. Through the operations of organizations, some activities need an integrated approach in solving them, and hence the inception of IT in the policymaking process is very vital (Friedman, 2017). Lastly, it also helps in increasing the effectiveness of pertained in the efficiency of the organizations’ process. It aids in simplifying complex operations in the organization and saves time in operations of an organization. Adopting IT in policy behavior is of many benefits in activities of an organization, and it is highly advisable.
