Question 4
Realities of CSI effect
The Crime Scene Investigations viewing has raised concern in the world as a whole in trying to establish whether this affects the legal decisions made by judges. The effects of Crime Scene Investigations can be traced with more than six cases of CSI effect being identified and reported (Cole & Villa, 2007). There is evidence that the CSI mostly have its effects on several groups namely lawyers, juries, witnesses, the judges, the general public as well as the defendants (Goodman-Delahunty & Tait, 2006). Due to the viewing of such incidences, the victims to a rime are aware of the evidence that pertain forensic investigations and also among the juries it creates some sought of a motivation. Although there are such studies, there is still uncertainty on whether the above occurrences are as a result of CSI effects as there is no substantial evidence to prove the claim (Tyler, 2006).
