To determine the Management decisions that Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. has to make in the face of the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic. In the face of the pandemic, businesses are revolutionizing and adopting various operational and situational measures to ensure employees’ safety, minimize risks, and enable continued operations. Important business activities may be curtailed by existing WHO guidelines on COVID-19 spread prevention and impact mitigation.

It is a holding company that influences millions of people through its dispensation and distribution of medicine. With over 170 years in healthcare innovation and heritage, it is one of the largest purchases of prescription drugs globally. The company’s scale, expertise, and size have enabled it to expand its supply of prescription drugs and control costs worldwide.The company consists of various business brands, which include Alliance Healthcare, Duane Reade, and Walgreens. The company further has a portfolio of beauty product brands like Soap & Glory,YourGoodSkin, and Liz Earle.
The pharmaceutical company has a striking online presence through its digital platforms and a physical presence through its various convenient retail locations and distribution centers. Listed as one of the world’s most admired companies, it is present in more than 25 countries and employs up to 450,000 people. It has the largest pharmaceutical distribution network globally, with up to 240,000 pharmacies and close to 500 distribution centers(Greenwood & Ingram, 2018). Its target market includes hospitals, health centers and nursing homes in various countries.
The company has been keen on ensuring a healthy and inclusive workplace and values its employees as its greatest assets. The well-being and health of employees is a top priority for the company, given its large employee base. The company has been working actively to ensure practical support to ensure a robust approach to health data privacy and employee safety. Given that the company is based on the healthcare industry, it has largely been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, it has a role to make key management decisions to ensure that employees in its retail and distribution stores are safe, as well as its managerial and administrative departments.
Given the scope of the operations of Walgreens Boots Alliance, Its managerial decisions impact a huge number of people. With its coverage, it is important to understand key management decisions that should be undertaken in the organization to ensure safety and enable continued operations of the organization and how these decisions align with the company goals and mission.

The research aims to study existing gaps in the management decisions of Walgreens Boots Allianceregarding company operations in the face of the coronavirus pandemic. This includes decisions that encapsulate traditional social and Crisis factors. It includes decisions that ensure resiliency, continuity, and safety of key stakeholders in the organization and also revenue cost and risk factors. It also includes external factors like community, emotional, and ethical responsibilities.
