The plan of safety management system presentation starts with a cover paper on the first slide which consist of the topic, students name and institution affiliation. The second slide is an abstract which offers the outline of the paper and the purpose of the research topic. The third slide consists of keywords and acronyms which have been utilized in writing the paper. The forth slide is an introduction of the research topic. It gives the background of the study and emphasizes why it is important to have safety management systems. The fifth slide is on literature review whereby previous studies on SMS are analyzed with an aim of exploring the application of SMS approaches on in airports. The literature review discusses the components of SMS.
The sixth slide discusses the first component of SMS under literature review which is safety policy. It elaborates how safety policy is established and how it is applied in airports. The seventh and eighth slides are on the safety risk management which is the second pillar of SMS under literature review. It elaborates the processes of safety risk management and how it functions in airports. The ninth slide is on safety assurance under literature review. The slides expounds on elements of safety assurance and the roles it plays in SMS for airports. The tenth and eleventh slide discusses the safety promotion component of SMS under literature review. The slides illustrate how safety promotion is essential, its components and its workability in ensuring SMS is achieved. The twelfth slide is a discussion on a real case study of SMS application at Research airport in Taiwan. The discussion reports on the study findings.
