My core skill of focus is a team working that I need to develop for the role of Project Manager. Teamwork helps in developing skills with the help of the exchange of ideas and feedback from members. This is the process of considering constant development in an organization. A manager should enhance teamwork in an organization that helps employees to perform better and ensure work pressure for a given task (Ionescu 2014). The tasks should be delegated effectively by the manager to avoid conflicts and ensure equality in the organization. Poor teamwork may lead to failure of the project. Therefore, cooperation will undoubtedly affect the business performance to which directly affects the success of the business. Collaboration is directly related to employee performance. Occupational performance increases while motivating employees in the industry and deliberately considering the vision of the organization. Team members enhance cooperation with effective behaviors that indicate a change in the industry. This skill is appreciated to achieve work deliverables and efficient results of the organization. Teamwork is the measure of different features that organizations consider while providing greater participation and challenges in the business.

The chosen skill teamwork is an essential skill for a Project Manager in a routine as effective results are achieved while focusing on team management and team working skills. I believe that I have good bonding with my colleagues. Completing several assignments in a group, I have realized that I can manage the group and can lead the group with positive outcomes. The experience of managing group proves that I can manage teams for specific projects. Currently, I am at a level where I will focus on how to manage teams, which will help me to build a capable team and result in success criteria. I believe that I should address myself and learn team development activities while involving a group that coordinates and provides effective results for the business.

Future

Team-working will help me in the future by providing the best results that the company needs to achieve specific requirements and success criteria. The organizational goals will be met while managing the team with active work support from team members. Cooperation, coordination, respect, and trust among team members will lead to successful results (Sanyal & Hisam 2018). The use of team-working will lead to productive work practices in the organization. As a manager, team-working skill is vital, which helps in achieving the goals of the organization by managing teams and applying a team-based strategy.

The core skill of focus is a leadership skill that will help me to consider the Project Manager’s role. A project manager should be a leader who leads the team with leadership traits. Leadership traits include communication, integrity, resilience, positivity, confidence, delegation, influence, humility, and accountability. These are the essential leadership qualities that a manager should possess. Leadership is a critical determinant that needs to be focused, which is directly associated with the success of the business. Leadership style is the manner to which leaders engage in achieving organizational goals. There are different types of leadership styles, such as transformational, directive, democratic, bureaucratic, and autocratic leadership (Sofi & Devanadhen 2015). These are significant in the business to achieve organizational growth and enhance the ability of growth in the industry. The impact of leadership style leads to corporate performance, which has a direct connection that ensures attain corporate objectives.

Leadership skill is vital for a Project Manager. The reason for considering leadership by the project manager is to make people work together while fulfilling the business objectives. The leader’s role is to engage followers in a work category and focus on achieving particular goals, which leads to organizational performance. I have leadership skills when I recognize the event where I managed the group and provided instructions on change in the activities. I was a leader in presenting information to the overall group, which led to a successful presentation. Currently, I am learning new theories and styles of leadership, which will help me to work with competency in the future. For the future role, I will focus on leadership styles, methods, and traits to be used in an organization.

Leadership skills will help me in the Project Manager’s role. A manager should be a leader and possess all the skills and knowledge of considering effective work results.
