PRIVATE STRATEGY IN ESTABLISHING GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH DU / IN
The economy of the quality of human resources of a country is determined by the quality of education that is carried out in that country. HR becomes a decisive subject that will manage the country’s development both physically and non-physically in a better direction. Marlina (2015) in her research said that Human Resources (HR) has a significant role in every activity in an institution, including vocational education institutions, which have a special curriculum, namely dual system education. Wardiman Djojo- negoro (1994) explained that PSG is an educational organization that systematically integrates educational activities (theory) in schools with educational activities (practices) in industry. Ditdikmenjur (2008: 5) outlines there are 4 objectives for the implementation of PSG namely; (1) produce workforce that has professional expertise, namely workers who have knowledge, skills, and work ethics in accordance with the demands of employment, (2) strengthening the link and match between SMKs and the world of work, (3) increasing the efficiency of the education process and training of professionally qualified workers and (4) providing recognition and appreciation of work experience as part of the education process. Public relations is an important element in an organization, both business organizations such as companies and non-business organizations such as schools. Orlando & Theodore (2014) explained that the main function of public relations is to create and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders of the organization, such as people and private entities, the government, and society in general. The term company or special that is meant in this context in the above definition is the world of business / industrial world (DU / DI). Both need each other to create a world of quality work. For business / industry (DU / DI) schools as a means of gaining real experience from the world of work, while for business / industry (DU / DI) schools are institutions that should be able to provide innovation to the world of work. According to Purwanto in Suryosubroto (2001: 19) the relationship between the school and the community includes school relationships with other schools, schools with local government, schools with other agencies or departments, and schools with the general public. All relations should be cooperative, pedagogical, sociological and productive relations that can provide benefits, goodness and progress for both parties. For this reason the principal plays a very important and decisive role. According to Dominick (2015: 331) community relations are related to communication. Most people are interested in what certain organizations do to meet their attention and interests. A good communication relationship between the school and the business / industrial world (DU / DI) has become an absolute requirement that must be met in order to support the continuation of the process of learning outside of school and furthermore is to the distribution of school graduates as productive workers in the business / industrial world (DU / DI). Without communication, the relationship withers and dies, any relationship that is commensurate with your time and energy depends on effective communication to maintain and maintain. Your desire and motivation to communicate are the main elements in establishing and growing relationships (Gamble & Gamble, 2013: 197). The problem found at Teuku Umar Vocational School in Semarang is that the relationship between the school and business / industrial partners (DU / DI) is not yet optimal, this is proven based on the experience of each year in the implementation of the internship of the school, it has to look for business partners / industries that will be occupied by students in the implementation of the internship. That is because there is no permanent cooperation
