Problem 1
Remy Cake Bakery does not seem to have a clear and strong leadership put in place to offer direction as the founders retire. Since the founders have been at the helm, the company has been progressing well by giving the employees direction and monitoring their services. Consequently, all the activities have been running smoothly, including a company culture of responsiveness to customer needs. However, the founders do not currently work as many hours as they used to, and things seem to go going astray. The employees are not welcoming the visitors, and this has led to increased customer complaints. Employees work well when the management brings them together and monitors all their activities such that each is in the required place all the time, even with this informal structure. If the company has to succeed, it must equip the incoming teams with the required leadership skills to ensure employees work effectively and ensure customer satisfaction.
Problem 2
Remy Cake Bakery does not seem to have effective interpersonal and group communication. Traditionally, the employees have had a culture of interpersonal relations even outside the workplace. While out of work, the employees came together and socialized, which developed group and interpersonal communication. The new employees have failed to blend in the culture of communication, which has for long propelled the business forward, especially due to the openness in communication. Employees are not friends, especially outside the workplace, and this has eliminated the value of effective group communication, which extends to the place of work. The loss of communication skills can be linked to the leadership that is retiring and does not prepare the incoming teams on the same. The culture of the group and interpersonal communication must be entrenched to coordinate all the business activities and realize success. The company needs to ensure a culture of friendship such that employees are free with each other and can communicate at the workplace and outside to solve the business issues.mm
