Programs That Will Be Used to Implement the Solution
Domestic violence is a prevalent issue in today’s society. Most victims in the US are women and children (Meyer). Few men are also affected by it. Therefore, ToolShare will design two programs; one targeting children and the other one targeting adults that are faced with the violence. Most of the time, children involved in domestic violence may not share about it, according to Klostermann (1). therefore, ToolShare will design both a website and issue a toll-free number that children can call from anywhere to report domestic violence situations. The program targeting adults will be more comprehensive but will also cover their children at risk. ToolShare will also integrate guidance and counseling for the victims of domestic violence due to the emotional disturbance that they may be facing due to the situation at their places of residence.
The Running and Implementation of Programs in Selected Locations
For the states that ToolShare has identified with more cases of domestic violence than the rest of the US, the organization will set up at least one center in every county to handle the cases and transfer them to larger centers in the major cities of the states. For instance, if a victim lives in Caldwell county, Texas, they may report their case at the county seat in Lockhart, before the officials send the details of the case to Austin, the state of Texas. The programs will be spearheaded by three employees in every center to respond to the toll-free calls from the victims. In the more expansive states such as Texas, the major centers for gathering cases from county seats may be more than one to ensure that services are nearer to the people that need them.
Desired Outcomes for The Programs
The desired outcomes for ToolShare’s programs are categorized as both short and long term. The desired short-term outcomes involve the increase in the reporting of domestic violence cases by the victims, and the quick access to the victims if they require immediate assistance from attacks perpetrated at their residence. The long-term desired outcomes are the elimination of the domestic violence menace and the support to the US government in counteracting the form of violence in the other states of the country.
