Qualities of a good leader
Leadership being an essential factor in the structural stability of a society, leaders should have certain values depicting they are worth to be making decisions that will affect everyone in the community. Quality can be defined as value or attribute one possesses that helps build their character as human beings.
Emotional quotient should be the most important attribute a leader possesses. The ability to integrate what other people feel is very crucial to becoming a world-class leader (Kevin et al. 4). Blending your thoughts with those who you are entitled to lead should be the priority in a leader’s manifesto.
Making people do your bidding out of their own free will might seem absurd and unheard of, but influence should be one of the key qualities for a leader who’s ready to serve and deliver at the same time. Being influential should not give anyone the mandate or criteria of becoming a tyrant.
Giving should go hand in hand with receiving. (Olanrewaju et al. 89). When people give you the power to lead them and make decisions that will affect their lively hood, it is wise of you to return the favor by being grateful and showing them that they are appreciated. Simple gratification goes a long way. (Olanrewaju et al. 89).
Doing the right thing even when no one is watching, not only applies to leaders but every person of sound mind. Most leaders misuse the power bestowed upon them and do malicious acts with the purpose of self-gratification. (Prive 42).
