QUALITIES OF GOOD DATA VISUALIZATION
Visualization has been one of the greatest innovations in data analysis and representation. Different fields have adopted this technology to modify the presentation of data in a more simplified manner. Through graphical designs and charts, the information has been structured and analyzed to more simplified data for understanding. This paper describes various visualized information in different fields.
Migration In The Census, produced for The Migration Observatory
The census department has produced a visualized information concerning the migration of people in the world. This visual program has been one of the favorites since it describes the information in a simp0lified manner. The statistics are well distributed and well positioned (Cardno, Ingham, Lewin, & Singh, 2018). The countries are well concentrated in one place creating a good design for the viewer to use. The information is well distributed according to the countries position and continent positioned.
This visual platform offers the analysis for different states concerning the economic wellbeing of the people. The platform shows how the countries are faring in different issues that measure up the economic status of the people. This platform is great since it summarizes the information is in a graphical manner (Cook, Lee, & Majumder, 2016). The visual program has classified every information in a different color. This form of labeling has made it easier for one to interpret easily. The graphical representation is well labeled in a manner in which every sector is identified so easily.
The above diagram shows the importance of data visualization in summarizing big data and producing a more simplified data. The diagram shows the ten greatest consumers of water in the world. The diagram is appealing since it is well designed (Cardno, Ingham, Lewin, & Singh, 2018). The diagram shows information in an ascending order which gives us an upper hand to understand the information. The diagram is simple and gives a scale of how the countries use water. This shows that visualization is a great tool that has resulted in data analyzation that produces greater results.
In conclusion, data visualization is a great tool that has enhanced efficiency. To improve the products of visualization, we need to reduce too many jargons and pie charts and too many writings. The creators of the data visuals should ensure that only the needed information and nothing else.
