Routers
Routers are networking devices that are utilized in forwarding data packets that are found between various computer networks. Their core purpose is to carry put traffic directing duties on the internet. These include data that are usually delivered through or over the internet like an email or a web page. The process involves typical forwarding of packet data from one router to another one by a network that creates an internetwork, for example, the internet up to a point where it reaches the final destination which is referred to as the destination node.
They can offer a wireless network in a more straightforward means, basically under a smaller area. Their perfect and proper coverage range ensures that they cover and provide a network connection to a whole office alongside its various department without any disruption. Also, their power to give or offer a very high network connectivity speed makes it the quality connectivity device that bests suits the emailing, messaging, and web surfing purposes. In this particular case, we will use approximately ten routers that will aid in the network provision process for all the five thousand users. These ten routers will ensure that ports the office together with all its branches sufficiently connects to the internet. The wireless routers will support up to about five hundred users without encountering any network disruption or interruption. It is believed that these wireless routers will provide a connectivity speed rate of about 300mbps for a total of a thousand connected devices. Therefore a majority of offices, such as this one in our scenario prefers wireless routers for rendering network connections in small offices alongside its branches and departments.
Switches
Switches servers the same purpose as routers. These devices all allow distinct networks to communicate. They connect to a large number of mobile and computer gadgets together through the assistance of LAN or the local area network. In this case, a total of one hundred switches are required to serve all the users in this business set up. They will act as a central point where the large number of connected devices and gadgets and communicates over the LAN or the local area network. These switches will ensure that they work in a way that one switch serves twenty users who can perform their duties simultaneously and effectively. Switching will also ensure that there is the provision of traffic isolation concept. Additionally, it reduces the collisions that usually occurs within the network connections at a very high range. The only disadvantage of switches is that it usually consumes much time in data packet processing.
Rationale
The quantity of the above connectivity devices was suitable because of various reasons. The one hundred routers were the best suit for the business since the task requires us to connect all the branches of the office for providing or offering a similar domain. These routers will operate in a manner that one router serves up to about fifty users. They possess an excellent device range ability that can cover all the services of an entire office together with its departments and also provide or render improved network connectivity without experiencing any interruption or disruption.
A total of one hundred switches will ensure that the business has the quality and a better connectivity system. They will be equally distributed to a ratio of one to fifty users. The rate successfully enables all the users to enjoy the internet connectivity successfully without experiencing any difficulty or interference (User, 2019). It should be noted that switches are used because they connect large or many numbers of computer devices and mobile phones with assistance of LAN or the local area network (Soares et al., 2014).
Domain Name Server
Domain name server serves the purpose of converting the name of the website into an IP address or the internet protocol address. The IP address should not be mistaken to be the website’s name. It is utilized for routing on the connectivity or the internet. In this particular networking criteria, we apply a single domain name system known as the domain name system 1. The kind of domain name system used in the diagram executes the authorities. This power identifies the fields or areas where the DNS queries were sent. In his process, SOA is also utilized for web hosting’s obligations and also offer or render email services. (Schmitt et al., 2015).
Connectivity
In this phase, the core event is providing network connectivity through the use of routers. The routers are obligated to provide a network which is wireless more simply under the smaller area that also possesses an excellent range covering an entire office together with its various departments and create better or improved network connectivity smoothly without any interruption. Additionally, the router also creates a very high-speed connection that allows the network to swiftly send emails, web surfing and even for messaging purposes. The four ports functionalities are quite helpful in providing a network connection. Also, the wireless router assists in delivering a high –speed rate of up to about 300mbps for approximately up to one hundred connected devices.
