Quantitative methods in research
Research is typically conducted to investigate a particular problem in an organization or society and some ways to solve the problem. Advancement in information technology has come with various issues, such as the advancement of cybercrime, which would need extensive research to offer solutions. I concur with the colleague that the qualitative research method is critical for in-depth exploration, which may yield a better problem-solving mechanism for the problem at hand (Queirós, Faria, & Almeida, 2017). Quantitative methods are also essential due to the application of statistics and the ability to generalize. As the colleagues and different have shown the limitations and advantages of quantitative and qualitative methods, the colleague can utilize a mixed-method, which will assure better results from the research.
