Question 1
Trade barriers are major inhibitors of trans-region trade. In recent decades nations have seen a need to partner in promoting international trade. They have developed trade ties that have ease and weaken trade barriers which limit the development of international commerce.
Question 2
In my own opinion, we should join NAFTA since it promotes trade among the involved nations. It has greatly made trade easy through the free trade agreement.
Question 3
Reasons for trade deficits
- income inequality
- suppressed actual wages among the production employees
- weakened employees’ collective bargaining powers
- reduced fridge benefits
What we are supposed to do is to limit the free trade pact which is upheld by NAFTA.

The major US imports that I purchase include computers, fuel, medical supplies, and pharmaceuticals. Lack of these imports can greatly interrupt and interfere with my normal life since a highly depend on these items or products in one way or another for a better and healthy life. They are thus crucial and important in my life and, hopefully for others.

If the US stops to be the world’s largest exporter, I would be affected economically as the nation’s dollar would eventually be weakened. The United State will not be able to sustain quality jobs to its citizens and hence the weakened economy leading to a high poverty margin in our society.

International trade supports high wages for employees in production. Besides, a better position in international trade lowers companies’ cost of output, as well as that of consumers’ purchasing ability. The citizens of such a nation save a lot of money which they can spend on other matters. Spending support extra job opportunities such as entertainment and hence high-income level in the specific country.
Question 7
The US should pull out of NAFTA. This is because the involvement of the nation in this agreement did not achieve its expectation which includes increase trade, foreign investment, friendly consumers’ prices, and economic output. Instead, and a good reason for withdrawal, the manufacturers have turned lower –waged from Mexico at the expense of the local labor which has left many US citizens without jobs. This has severely suppressed wages in the United States production sectors.
Question 8
I would not support the boycott. This is because sweatshop labor provides a good number of people with employment. Restructuring the bookstore production approach would mean a loss of jobs for the people in the manufacturing line.
