Questions that I would ask to get a complete picture of the business performance as a shareholder in Fibertech sitting in the Board of Director
Customers
I would ask questions related to consumers, such as how they, what was our projected sales, and whether we are going to attract more customers in the near future. Besides, I will ask questions such as; do our products and services have stronger market demand?
Asking questions about the sales of our organization helps in depicting the size of business and its performance. I will ask a question like; how our products and services are performing? These kinds of questions will help us to determine the selling and purchasing power of consumers as well as help in determining the economies of scale and amount of the market share. Also, questions such as; have our sales grown over the years? Will help us determine the performance of our business as far as competition, and the general economy is concerned.
Capital and financing
I would like to understand our organization’s capital and financing. In this case, I will ask questions like; what do our accounts payable look like, and how is their aging schedule?; what are our cash reserves? Is our business cyclical or seasonal, and do we have adequate access to credit facilities? These questions will help us understand the performance of the business because it will help us know whether the organization has adequate capital and financing sources that are likely to help in sustaining our company’s growth and performance ( Raffoni et al.,2018).
Profitability
I would like to understand the profitability of the organization. Therefore, I would ask questions such as; does our organization make adequate profits to sustain its growth both in the long-term and short-term. The profitability of a company is often determined by the income statements and reporting on various operations of the organization. I will also ask questions like; what is the relationship between our profit/loss account and balance sheet? These questions will help me understand not only the profitability of the organization but also the return on assets.
