Radiation Discussion Board Post 2
Radiation should be managed at all costs, bearing the fact that it may cause many not visible diseases. If radiation is not prevented and responded to, then many individuals may be affected by the time the damage is realized. Radiation can cause a global pandemic when leaked into oceans, air, and food. Also, no state should consider themselves safe, especially when their neighbors are affected as its particles can be dispersed by wind hence traveling globally. Therefore, all nations should join hands towards assisting their neighbors in the fight against radiation. It is realistic for California people to be worried about the disaster, reaching them based on the above arguments. Although radiation needs to reach individuals on a high level, once it gets dispatched in a small California location, then there are higher chances for them to multiply and spread further, hence affecting larger populations. Moreover, it is healthy that California was worried and cautious as this enabled them to monitor the radiation levels within the ground and air hence continuously playing it safe. Also, despite the extent of the danger of exposure to radiation, California should not consider taking iodine tablets as an option as this will bring in more health dangers as opposed to radiation exposure itself.
