Ragnar Horn
Ragnar Horn is the current chairman of Taconic AS, a Norwegian family business. He is renowned for the many corporate Boards he has served. This father of three lives in Oslo, New York City, and London. Ragnar Horn graduated from Massachusetts university.
Ragnar Horn was born in 1961 and went to calvary Officer Candidate School. He later moved to the US to further his education. While in the US, Horn joined Williams College in Massachusetts, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with honors in 1985. He later studied for his master’s in Business Administration from the University of Harvard School of Business.
Ragnar Horn worked for different companies since his graduation before returning to manage his family business. Taconic AS is a family business that invests in several fields, including offshore projects, shipping, media. It also invests in telecoms, hedge funds, private equity firms, and real estate.
For example, he worked for Merrill Lynch Capital Markets as an analyst for about two years. Horn also worked for Mortimer Scott Associates Ltd as the vice president. Ragnar Horn is serving on Boards of Victoria Eiendom AS and Eiendonsspar in Norway. Horn serves on the Board of Hough Family and Berner Gruppen. He has also worked for Helicopter Service Group AS.
