Reasons and benefits for Scholarship Application
Scholarships are the basis of success in professionalism, academic achievements, and employment opportunities (Рудницька, 1). The fee needed to cover my full course, in my discipline, is an expense that can only be covered by scholarship funding. This amount of money is not within the range of what I can afford. Apart from this, access to internship and attachment programs are part of many scholarships which are an advantageous move on my professional skills and practical knowledge (Рудницька, 1).
With the scholarship funding, I will be in a position to either start a community-based income-generating activity as a nurse or get employed hence providing essential medical services in the society I come from. Although the later, of the two, will be least of my consideration. My passion to set-up a clinic, income-generating activity, stands out not only as a means of income to me but also as an employment opportunity to the many idle nurses within my region. As an entrepreneur, creating jobs for unemployed professionals is my prime objective, and it is only achieve-able once I access the scholarship (Maina, 88).
Medical practitioners face a hurdle due to the presence of quack doctors and nurses offering shady services to a vulnerable society (Smith et al., 306). In most regions of residence, deaths and wrong medical prescriptions, as well as incorrect therapeutic dosages, have been experienced. It has led to many deaths in society at large. Most of these persons are half-backed in terms of their education in medicine and nursing hence poor results (Smith et al., 306). This faulty professional incompetence is attached to the lack of enough funds to cover their medical courses. Unlike the quacks and half-educated ones, I seek to address the plea of patients from my region with full knowledge capability hence the impact of the scholarship.
Nursing is more of a first aider (Smith et al., 305). Lack of proper response to a patients’ needs is inappropriate and leads to the deaths of many sick persons (Smith et al., 307). Nursing is a career that requires a lot of humility, a caring heart apart from the aspect of ‘being schooled for the job’ mentality, and a friendly attitude of a ‘nurse to patient’ relations (Smith et al., 305). Most nurses within this career have chosen to provide their services half-heartedly. It is due to lack of passion, professional laziness, and the desire to multiply their income by covering as many patients as possible irrespective of patients’ complaints (Buyx, 761). The outcome of this kind of behavior is tragic to patients. Despite the knowledge in their circles and experience as well, their work out-put is wanting and dangerous to most patients. This habit can come to an end once my scholarship is considered as my academic goals to enhance a better and caring nursing career will be achieved.
In conclusion, this scholarship has more benefits and reasons for its’ needs to me as a person and the society at large. The persons who stand to gain majorly are patients who have suffered at the hands of quack and non-passionate nurses as the provision of my service will be the opposite of their poor services. The other lot of persons that will benefit are the un-employed, yet qualified nurses. It will be achieve able via my entrepreneurship opportunity in my clinic start-up. The last person to enjoy the fruits of this scholarship is me as I stand to see the most needed services provided at an affordable rate by an accomplished expert. Generally, it is due to scholarship availability that one achieves such objectives hence the need for my scholarship application.
