This is based on the fact that the culture shaped by behavior impacts the organization’s performance at a great deal. From the readings, a few concepts are fundamental. In management, there is a need for excellent people skills, which should be instilled in managers. For instance, interpersonal skills that are instilled in managers can help them understand themselves and learn how to control their weaknesses in Infront of their juniors. Through organizational behavior’s focal point, a student can learn things such as motivation, which is one of the main aims of organizational behavior (Robbins, & Judge, 2018). Learning the behaviors of employees and how they contribute to organizational performance can help understand how to structure the reward system and motivate employees to perform better. The conflict and negotiation skills help solve conflicts that are unavoidable in an organization and negotiating for better outcomes with employees. Organizational behaviors teach managers to have practical management skills in all areas, including communication, human resource, and networking. Although the systematic study shows that research improves the ability to predict employees’ behaviors, intuition plays a significant role and has been considered the highest virtue to great managers. A good manager should believe in his gut and act accordingly (Robbins, & Judge, 2018). The last aspect was the challenges as well as opportunities within organizational behavior. The opportunities come with globalization, which is fast growing. This goes beyond the healthy behaviors to the extent of knowing when they have a problem. A life out of work can have a significant impact on an employee’s performance at the workplace. The fact that the financial advisor is requesting money to pay rent is a clear indication that he is in a fix. The correct decision at this level will be to call him privately and inquire about his situation and how I can help. Though the behavior to publicly through social media to request for money is wrong and hurts the organization, it is advisable to inform him of the same. This will help curb the problem and, at the same time, allow social media to serve the purpose as intended.
