Reflection on LGBT
Homosexuality is common but undoubtedly unnoticeable in mainstream society. Most of the victims are never willing to become members; instead, they are lured by very warm atmospheres created by strangers, and they seem appealing too much to the victims. Most victims over time are younger high school boys who are lured by strange men with some myriad goodies they offer them. As mentioned earlier, it is not easy to notice homosexuals without having a close relationship and precedence over the same (Boys beware). Strangers mostly come in when one is in a desperate situation, and they are really in need of help from these strangers. Secondly, they seem to be saviours under challenging circumstances and even offer a helping hand. Resultantly, innocent and young men are deceived and fall prey with the strangers unravelling the concealed mysterious mind capturing ideas of homosexuality, an example being pornography.
Lesbianism assumes a similar phenomenon with gays in mainstream society. Forte has eroded the serenity associated with male homosexuals as entirely unheard of to the women. In most cases, the luring environments are created, and the victim is forcefully asked or coerced to engage in sexual activities with other members; this acts as an initiation or a bridge to the world of lesbianism. Such young ladies are warned against the loopholes that might be left in their course of meekness and act as danger points in their social life. Besides the masculine conformation by women, other factors that result in homosexuality are social and psychological ones. These factors include the fear of bearing children in marriage, hatred for a dominating mother and fear of marriage. However, the mitigation for these psychological symptom needs can be done by sound and expert medical officers who aim at changing the personality structures of the individuals.
As much as homosexuality is demonized and at some point it was unpopular, the then members of gay groups stepped out of their silence. They decided to champion for their rights of the homosexuals and demanded it to be legalized and institutionalized in the society as well. Homosexuality is rampant, and in many cases, the authorities have tried to contain the rapid spread by initiating stringent rules that work against homosexuals. In this case, this concern has become a full spread condition with no disparities in society.
The Lavender Scare” in the United States was a moral panic about homosexual people who worked for the government. This panic led to a massive loss of federal jobs whose employees had been convicted as being “homosexual”. This scare was parallel to a popular anti-communist campaign which was known as McCarthyism. This campaign claimed that male and female homosexuals were a threat to national security because they were presumed to be sympathizers with communism; hence, they were dismissed from federal jobs. The homophobic discrimination policies inclined to the red alert; many homosexuals were persecuted. Simultaneously, the Lavender scare received objections and oppositions amid the persecution with spear headers demanding discriminatory policies to be done away with altogether.
