I agree that over the last 100 years, people have become more open about issues to do with sex. That is especially the case with the advance of the digital age. Given that, parents feel as if they are losing control over their kids since they have easy access to information about sex from the different media forms (Sternheimer, 2013).
I share the concern that the issues of sexting among teenagers have been overly exaggerated. While there is a small percentage that engages in the habit, most teenagers do not engage sext. With that in mind, it calls for level-headedness when approaching this issue to avoid making rash decisions.
