The argument that philosophy is often viewed as a useless topic since it does not offer any physical utility is right. In consideration, most people do not appreciate the skill developed based on knowledge. Instead, they appreciate the outcomes of the skills that improve their lives and help solve their challenges. In particular, the value of philosophy is attained by philosophers who, since undertaking philosophy studies, strengthen their critical thinking skills and widen their scope of observing various scenarios. The knowledge acquired helps philosophers to apply logic while analyzing specific circumstances upon which they identify the best strategy to address the situation. Based on this application, it is essential to study philosophy since it develops critical thinking skills that help solve various problems within society. In consideration, people should not determine the value of philosophy based on physical utility; instead, they should assess its value concerning the skills it impacts on scholars.
