I agree with the students that the advertisements were directed towards patients. The adverts indeed aimed to show that the nurses are competent. Also, I believe that they offer hope to patients resulting in the development of trust, which is essential for the healing process. I also agree with you that the smiles on the nurses’ faces are an indication of their love in helping patients. This is a clear indication of their qualifications characteristics.
Question: Do you think the advertisements require any changes to make them more appealing?
Student 2
The advertisements indeed serve as tools for elevating the professionalism of the nurses. The advertisements are a means of creating hope and trust in patients so that the treatment process can be easy and fun. Also, I agree that the mood of both adverts is hopeful, as demonstrated in their smile. However, regarding the style of the adverts, I believe that it more of a pictorial and illustrative approach, which makes it more informative. Also, I’m afraid I have to disagree that the structure is somehow complicated. My opinion is that the structure is somehow simple so that patients can easily understand them.
Question: Do you believe the adverts fully convince the patients?
Student 3
Although I agree that the advertisements are focused on a larger audience, you have not identified a specific audience; that is, it could be either patient, nurses, or administrative agencies. However, I agree that the purpose of the adverts was to persuade the intended audience so that they can be more open. Also, the style applied by the adverts is indeed persuasive and convincing. The hope generated is essential for the recovery process.
