Restaurant Food Safety
Meals prepared at home have been reducing because people and most Americans are busy at work and prefer to eat in restaurants. Been busy at work, Griffis Café is my favourite restaurant. The restaurant has friendly staffs and good food suitable for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They offer takeaways thus ideal for all, especially travellers. The last inspection audits were in 25th January 2019, and the inspection number is 2833261. The food safest audits found three violations, namely; the PH/TCS foods properly thawed, non-food contact surfaces clean, and bathrooms. The inspector’s note was basic.
Regarding the food surfaces, the inspector’s note was basic because the top freezer shelves of the house frig soiled with food debris and ice. Regarding food storage, inspectors noted that the time and temperature were potentially hazardous as food were thawed at room temperature. Inspector’s pointed out that the restaurant restrooms had self-closing bathroom doors, which were disconnected (Democrat, 2019). With these findings, I will still eat at Griffis café because one of the significant violation was immediately solved, that means that the other two will also be corrected. The restaurant fixed breach on PH and temperature control for safety on site indicating that the foods were as safe as proper storage conditions are maintained. Food safety is what matters most thus will continue eating in the restaurant. Despite the violations, Griffis Café has the best staffs and friendly environment.
