Road Rally
A road rally is one of the sports I enjoy the most due to its nature. The rally is intense and least expensive at the same time, and one can enjoy it with a friend. The sport is done on public roads mostly at night, where participants need to observe speed limits (SCCA, n.d). The sport does not require specialized equipment, only pens, paper, watches, and a map. The participants are graded with how they follow instructions and how they arrive at the specific checkpoints set in the route they follow.
With road rally, speed is determined by the organizers. The speed is safe, considering the sport is done on public roads. Drivers who exceed the speed limit are penalized. Therefore the limitation of speed is essential since it maintains the safety of the drivers and the public. The sport is my favorite since less pressure is involved. Participants are graded according to their ability to read the route maps and use the required speed. The time I prefer to do the race is during the summer. During the summer, it is easy to see the landmarks in the routes. During winter, most of these landmarks are covered in snow, and it becomes tricky to follow the map’s direction. The memorable day in my life is when my partner and I won the road rally. The rally was during winter; therefore, it was tough, but we managed to be the winners.
A road rally is a safe sport that does not require on to risk their lives. I would advise more people to venture into the sport. The sport is all about precision and not risking, which makes it open for anyone to join. The sport does not require sophisticated equipment; all the equipment used are affordable.
Letter
To the management
Dear sir/madam,
I am writing this letter to bring to your attention about the faulty equipment provided during the previous race held.
The maps my partner and I were provided with lead us in the wrong directions. I am bringing this to your attention since it cost us the race. I want the management to investigate if the problem was done intentionally or by mistake. Considering I liaised with the other members, and all their maps were different from mine.
I would appreciate it if you checked on the issue to prevent further misdirection in the future.
Thanks in advance
Sincerely,
Driver 46
