However, I settled for nursing when I realized that the profession would also help in meeting and providing care for patients. Besides, I also realized that as a nurse, I would spend most of the time with the patients in a healthcare setting, prescribing the necessary treatment. Therefore, my passion for nursing has helped in understanding the various requirements that would assist in becoming a qualified nurse.

My main inspiration to pursue education and profession in nursing is to save the lives of patients. During my research, I discovered that the scope of nursing is more extensive than I had earlier thought. Nurses work in different healthcare environments such as hospitals and also provide home-based care. Therefore, choosing a career in nursing was a better idea since I would want which area to conduct my practice. Furthermore, nurses can actively practice in providing patient care and treatment or engage in health promotion in the community. Thus, the role of a nurse in making a difference in society inspired me to choose a career in the path.
Additionally, I was inspired to choose a career in nursing since the knowledge learned in nursing education and practice is helpful even outside the workplace. For example, a nurse can help in providing first aid services in case of emergencies such as performing CPR for people suffering from a heart attack. Listing of nursing as an essential service is vital in the practice since it ensures that the nurses receive priority to help persons in case of emergencies that result in injuries.
Moreover, I was inspired by the demand for nursing professionals in the healthcare sector. Healthcare practice and research in an area of continuous growth hence would require more specialists. Consequently, nurses who complete their education are absorbed in the workforce quickly due to the demand. Therefore, there would be fewer chances of a qualified nurse missing employment opportunities after completion of their studies. Furthermore, the need for nursing professionals in healthcare has ensured that nursing students receive the scholarship for their education. The funding provided by various universities, colleges, and non-profit organizations ensures that interested candidates apply and pursue nursing with the relevant expenses catered for. Therefore, one would continue with their education with fewer worries of incurring debts after completion of their studies.
I was also inspired to choose a career in nursing by the work of my two aunts who were practicing nurses in the hospitals within the State of California. I always listened to some of their stories about their experiences in nursing. From there, I believed that I would choose a career path in nursing. They commented that nursing was a respectable profession where one would regularly learn and apply different skills and knowledge. Besides, they encouraged me to put any effort into my studies so that I excel in various subjects such as Biology, Math, English, Chemistry, and Chemistry. Their advice was helpful since I researched different materials about nursing as well as its diverse applications. Therefore, I was ready to take a career in nursing by the time I completed my high school education. The encouragement and info in nursing that I possessed was sufficient as a start in nursing education.
Furthermore, I was inspired to pursue a nursing education and profession since it allows one to select the area that they would want to specialize in. For example, after taking a course in Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a nurse can decide to specialize as a pediatric nurse, oncology nurse, surgical nurse, or clinical nurse educator. The variety in the areas of specialty gives one the freedom to choose where to apply their knowledge. Moreover, the nursing industry is a stable one that would ensure employment, especially if they possess the required qualifications. Also, the nursing practice would ensure that I understand more about the needs of various people, such as their cultural beliefs and backgrounds. This information would help determine how to provide personalized care for the patients.

Although this exercise gives a nurse memorable adventures, it also ensures that they work with different people in various environments. Thus, this approach will provide me with an opportunity to tour different places and impact people in the areas that I will visit.
Furthermore, I selected the nursing education and profession since nurses receive a lucrative salary for their service. The median pay for a Registered Nurse (RN) is about $70,000. This amount is useful in sustaining a person through the different expenses that they may require. Therefore, I would do my best in my nursing practice to ensure that I advance my knowledge to get a salary raise. Sufficient pay for nursing professionals encourages them to provide the best care for the patients.
Moreover, nurses work in flexible schedules to prevent overworking. For example, it is common for nurses to work in ten or twelve-hour shifts three or four days a week. This flexibility gives the nurses the required time to rest and also focus on different areas of their personal lives.
Also, the work of a nurse involves interacting with people. This practice is different from other careers where a person would be locked in an office for most time of the day. Therefore, the nursing profession is an interesting one since a nurse will encounter different individuals during their day’s work, such as colleagues and patients from diverse backgrounds, children, adolescents, and adults. Thus, I would say that the thought of working in a lively environment is an inspiration to pursue a career in nursing.

This technique would reduce hospital visits for the patients and consequently decrease the chances of getting hospital-acquired infections. Also, the use of monitoring equipment in the hospital environment would help in detecting changes in patients under the care of the nurses. The use of such services should be facilitated by Biomedical Engineers who will show the nursing professionals how to use the various equipment.
