Hepatitis C is an easily communicable disease caused by the Hepatitis C virus. The virus is transferred especially due to sharing of sharp objects which have been poorly treated. The disease affects the liver if the patient and thus affecting its functionality. The affected liver then becomes weak a therefore exposed to getting infected with other diseases such as liver cirrhosis and also liver cancer. The disease causes the inflammation of the liver thus affecting the flow of blood within the liver. Due to this, the liver is unable to operate effectively and therefore unable to purify the blood. In developing countries, this disease is mainly spread through drug abuse. Victims of drug abuse are highly exposed especially due to sharing of the same injections needle. During the early stages of the disease, it’s hard for the patient to notice the signs and symptoms of the disease. The main symptoms of which can be noted in a patient suffering from this disease include; bleeding easily, fatigue, itchy skin swelling in the legs of the patient among others. These symptoms, however, cannot be noticed at early stages but are only noticeable after the liver has been highly destroyed by the virus. The disease can also be caused by intake of other drugs which the patient is allergic to and thus have sphere side effects to the victim.

The patient can engage in some management tips to ensure that they reduce the impacts of the disease and also reduce the chances of contacting the disease. Among the issues which the patient can keep in mind and practice to avoid this disease include; Maintenance of body weight, avoiding alcohol consumption, engaging in daily exercises, Health eating habits and consultation with the doctor before using the supplements. The patient must always ensure that they engage in healthy practices to avoid contracting the disease. By avoiding alcohol consumption, the patient ensures that they maintain their livers in a safe state. Alcohol consumption increases the damage to the liver cell by causing liver cirrhosis. Due to this, the effects of hepatitis C becomes more severe with the patient exposed to further liver destruction and liver cancer. Alcohol is broken down in the liver producing a chemical which destroys the liver cells when a patient suffering from hepatitis C becomes addicted to alcohol, he/she exposes their liver to more damage and eventually death. Alcohol also increases the blood sugar level, when these sugars are high, and the liver cannot reduce them effectively other health complications such as diabetes arises leading to deterioration in the health of the victim. These conditions reduce the immune system of the victim affecting the response and thus promoting complications.

Unhealthy eating habit also increases the risk of contracting hepatitis C, through healthy eating the patient can control the complications caused by this disease. Healthy eating habits especially taking of balanced diet boosts the functionality of the liver and thus reducing the complication implications. The eating habit also affects the body weight, excessive intake of fatty foods increases the level of fats stored in the liver. High level of fats in the livers have been proven to cause long-term damages to the liver. A damaged liver increases the complications caused by hepatitis C disease. Some supplements have damaging effects on the liver; before the intake of these supplements, therefore, the patient should seek medical advice to know the impacts of the supplements to the liver. When the supplements have been taken, they destroy the liver making it weak, due to this the complications of the disease are increased, and their side effects are more severe. Exercises help reduce the number of fats in the body, patients who engage in exercises can reduce the severity of the complications. Through the exercises, the liver is maintained at a recommendable fat level thus reducing the complications.
