High employee turnover exists as one of the significant challenges that affect organizations globally. A company needs to employ and retain its employees for a significant period. Therefore, employing many employees with many of them leaving or resigning due to unsatisfactory aspects concerning the job is a significant challenge to any given organization. One of the significant challenges that high employee turnover brings to an organization includes not only filling of vacant positions but also brings about low employee morale and the presence of overworked employees (Collins, McKinnies, Matthews & Collins, 2015). Additionally, high employee turnover also costs an organization lots of money. High employee turnover can also lead to the hiring of wrong employees leading to the poor performance of the organization.

How can the problem of high employee turnover be solved? The problem of high employee turnover can be solved by increasing the rate of employee retention through evaluation of the hiring or employment process. Establishing and implementing flexibility within the organization will ensure that employees feel valued and respected and thus make them stay in the job for a significant period reducing high employee turnover (Cloutier, Felusiak, Hill & Pemberton-Jones, 2015). When hiring, the hiring process should include a trial period in which the candidate’s familiarity with the jobs is assessed to ensures that they are fit for the job or positions. Additionally, during the hiring process, an organization should ensure to put in place an onboard program as it is essential in reducing a higher percentage of high employee turnover. Moreover, onboarding programs not only reduce the high employee turnover rate but also introduces the organization’s employees to both the culture and expectations of the company to ensure that suitable training is given.
