Manchester City is a football club based in the United Kingdom that participates in the English Premier League, England’s Top-flight football league, and one of the most-watched football tournaments globally. The club is owned by and ran by sole proprietorship and partnerships. Sheikh Mansour is the sole proprietor and the full owner of the football club. The club has a simple governorship, comprising the owner of the club, a chairman, and the other subordinate staff. Besides, the football organization has other partners and sponsors who fund the club and sponsor its undertakings. These sponsors include the Etihad Airways, Nissan, and Nexen Tire, among others.
On the other hand, Manchester United is in the same leagues as Manchester City but adopts a different ownership model. It’s a family-based business partnership. The Glacier family are the sole owners of the football club.
Unlike a partnership with long decision-making processes, the sole proprietorship mode of business adopts a fast decision-making process that is essential for the club’s immediate resolutions. For instance, during the January transfer window, teams with sole proprietorship can strengthen their squads, as decisions pertaining to team strengthening are fast implemented, unlike in a family partnership where different partners might have diverse opinions, hence slowing down the pace of decision making (Gaffney et al. 2018).
Partnership-oriented businesses rarely make wrong decisions that can affect the business negatively. Like the Glacier family, before making a business decision, every partner is consulted and gives their opinions in a partnership business. Different opinions are weighed, and the most prominent prevails, which will impact the business positively. Shaw & Sørensen (2019).Unlike a sole proprietorship, which makes fast decisions, but likely to make wrong decisions due to the lack of many consultants involved in the quick decision-making process.

While the school caters to all the materials needed for sports, the expenses outlined in the figure above indicate the budget for accessing the necessary and elementary tools when getting ready for the sports season. For instance, travel expenses shown above represent the costs incurred while making the traveling arrangements since the institution caters to the actual travel expenses. Such charges like booking tickets, communicating with pooling departments, and the actual coordination of the sports season, the Officials expenses include the cost of airtime spend contacting the different officials concerned with the sport.

The costs indicated above are the costs incurred when laying down the budget for each item. For instance, coaches’ stipends costs include the costs incurred when holding meetings with coaches, among other expenses. The school caters for all of the institution’s sporting activities. Equipment cost consists of the expenses incurred when gathering the actual costs of the equipment needed.
