Stephen Bittel
Stephen is the founder and also the chairman of Terranova Company, founded in 1980. He graduated magna cum laude in 1978 from Bowdoin College, and he attained his degree in law in 1982 from the University of Miami, School of aw.
He leads the organization and operation of another significant portfolio of real estate. He stayed in south Florida for a long time serving his community. He has been the board director in Chapman partnership, Jackson Memorial hospital foundation and Miami-Dade Expressway Authority.
He also served at the Miami Jewish Federations Washington Mission as the Trustee member in 2009 and 2010.he currently serves on the board of Teach for America Miami.
The existence of Terranova was from the rear of the dictionary, where Bittel found a section of foreign words, which means “new land” in the Latin language. His aim of choosing it was to utilize the connection he formed through the Watson fellowship to bring the investors in Europe into the southern Florida area estate market.
He was among the 32 superdelegates to the democratic national convention in Florida. On the 40th anniversary of Terranova in august 2020, Bittel’s looks back to his journey of building commercial real estate juggernaut, ensuring that he modernizes Florida’s local communities and the future of the commercial real estate.
Although almost all these projects retained other investors, Terranova was most responsible for the management and leasing of these properties. It built a relationship with the tenants in the suburban market, which became location support to his firm.
Recently, the company’s real estate portfolio is valued at over 1billion us dollar in assets. Today Terranova is the largest owner of the property on Coral Cables, as known by Bittel. Bittel has made so many donations like supporting Parkinson’s foundation’s fellowship grants, which are awarded annually to encourage young scientists and students in the devotion of their talent to study Parkinson’s disease.
